The Rivers of Tennessee - Tulip Poplar Edition
The Rivers of Tennessee Conservation Fisheries Tulip Poplar Edition is a multi-colored depiction of the watersheds of the major waterways in the state, printed on a beautifully finished piece of the state tree. Color-coded river names draw the viewer in to discover the locations of the major watersheds. This Tulip Poplar Edition will hang on the wall or display on a tabletop with included dowels that easily make a firm stand.
Sales of Rivers Flow maps support the efforts of Conservation Fisheries, a nonprofit in Knoxville working since 1986 to save endangered freshwater fish throughout the Southern Appalachians.
The tulip poplar, Tennessee’s state tree, provides a warm background for the colorful design of The Rivers of Tennessee. Tulip poplars grow throughout Tennessee, adorned in spring with beautiful gold and orange “tulip” blooms. Poplar is a fast-growing hardwood, versatile for many uses with its light weight and its tight grain structure, and is used in furniture and construction alike. Log cabins in Appalachia are primarily built with square-hewn poplar logs.
